Gino Marchetti is considered one of the greatest defensive ends in pro football history. He played for the 1952 Dallas Texans of the National Football League (NFL) before joining the Baltimore Colts in 1953. He was with the Colts until 1966, including winning back-to-back championships in 1958 and 1959. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1972.
Back in 2014, Host Ken Crippen interviewed Marchetti for a “Where are they Now” article for the National Football Post. In this episode, you will listen to the first part of the audio from that interview.
For the Pro Football History Nugget of the Week, we discuss the Atom Bowl, played on January 1, 1946 in Nagasaki, Japan.
